Week 2 (Lab_based Activities)
Simulation of inpatient pharmacy activities using Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPhE) Format
Time : 9am – 5pm
Location : Hospital Pharmacy Lab, Discipline of Clinical Pharmacy, USM (J05/101)
- Assignment of ONE case for each student - Students have to perform the procedures of dispensing by moving from Station 1 to 5 in a systematic manner
- Station 1: Screening of inpatient prescription
- Station 2: Intervention with physician or using form
- Station 3: Charting of Cumulative Medication Record
- Station 4: Dispensing
- Station 5: Countercheck
- Read all the supplementary materials provided in the simulation lab regarding the role of pharmacists in the inpatients setting
- Feedback from the lecturer.
