Process of Drug Supply to Ward

Every morning after the morning dose administration to the patient at 8am, medication trolley will be sent back to the pharmacy unit in order to get supply for their floor stock medications refill. Also, to enable the pharmacist to process new prescription order. Floor stocks medications and prescription can be processed by junior pharmacist or assistant pharmacy in the inpatient unit or satellite pharmacy, followed by verification and counter checking by pharmacist prior to nurses’ collection. The trolley will be collected by ward nurse usually before the next administration dose at 12pm.
